我相信那些曾经使用过上述英语单词来表示东、西、南、北的人一定有过一些疑惑。应该用东，东，北还是北？

北，南，东，西

北、南、东、西通常用来指“特定的地点或运动方向”，而北、南、东、西则没有这个功能。

此时，北、南、东、西的词性分别是形容词(adj)、副词(adv)或名词(n)。

示例:

More and more people are buying second homes on the south coast of Ireland. (south为形容词，地点：海岸南部)We drove north for about six hours without stopping. (north为副词)Hea深圳生活网vy rain is forecast in the west of Beijing. (west为名词)

北部，南部，东部和我们深圳生活网斯特恩指的是更大的区域深圳生活网或领土。而且只能做形容词(adj)。

示例:

The northern parts of India have suffered severe flooding. 北部Houses are more expensive in most western parts of China. 北部San Diego is my favourite place in southern California. = in the south of California (加州南部)
